Home > Cottages > Finca CillianIf you wanted a storybook mansion to stay in for your holiday, then you’re in luck with Finca Cillian. It’s a mansion in a peaceful town called Callao Salvaje. Nothing is done on a small scale at this beautiful villa, there is plenty of space both inside and out. One of the initial wows of the villa is the well-tended garden, in addition to the fruit trees, palm trees and other plans that you’ll find lining the chill out areas.
When you enter the property, you are immediately aware of the size of this villa! The living room is a large space with a stunning fireplace as a feature point in the room. It’s a warm room, using neutral décor to add to the inviting atmosphere; the addition of exploration items, paintings and maps add to the colonial style of the villa.
You’ll find different antiques and items throughout the property, all of which add to the character of the property. The natural light is provided by the large glass windows that let you out onto a covered terrace where you’ll find a chill out area with further seating options.
There is another living area on the first floor, this one is combined with the library to create a tranquil and relaxing room in the villa. There is another lovely fireplace in this library, and the sofa can convert into a sofa bed. The library has a selection of Russian and Spanish books about scientists who have left a mark in Tenerife. But even if you can’t read the language, from this room you can access a wide terrace and you have a view of the sea! There is more outdoor seating on the terrace if you fancy spending time out on it.
The kitchen is a large and well-equipped space. It has dark wood fittings and modern appliances for your use. It’s traditional seeming layout and décor, help enhance the storybook nature of the mansion that runs throughout. The dining area is reached through the living room and has a long dining table in a bright area of the villa.
When it comes to the bedrooms, you’ll find five various styles in the property. In the right wing of the mansion, you’ll find the Humboldt Suite. There is a four-poster bed with storage and plenty of character sharing the room. The bedroom has direct access out to the garden, and the doors have curtains to pull across for privacy. There is also an en-suite bathroom with a shower fitting.
In the left wing, you’ll find the two twin rooms, Calipso and Kon-Tiki. There is also another bathroom. Calipso has been designed with the sea in mind, with blues, rocks and shells decorating the room tastefully. Kon-Tiki has a tropical design, from the wallpaper to the decorative pillows and décor in the room. Both rooms have two single beds pushed to opposite ends of the room, so the rooms are spacious and cosy.
There is another suite called the Indiana Suite which has Indiana Jones inspired décor throughout. It also has an independent walk-in wardrobe and a small balcony with a barrier. From this bedroom, you have a view of the city and the ocean. The final suite in the villa is called the Darwin Suite where you’ll find an animal theme throughout the room. Similarly, to the Indiana Suite, there is a walk-in wardrobe and access to a terrace with a similar view. The terrace to this suite is larger and so has outdoor seating.
When you’re out on the covered terrace you will notice the open-air cinema screen that has been installed on the property! You can enjoy movies from almost any part of the mansion! By the open-air cinema are the large heated swimming pool and the jacuzzi. You’ll find comfort to be a number 1 priority while you’re outside topping up on your holiday tan or swimming in the pool.
You will find a range of seating opportunities while out on the terrace and in the surrounding land; ranging from sun-loungers to hanging chairs, and more. The property also has a spa area where there is a chance to have a Turkish bath, sauna and there is even a massage room.
On one of the terraces, you’ll find a small collection of gym equipment for your use and from here you can also see the open-air cinema set up. The property even has a barbeque area so you can have the ultimate summer food whilst enjoying a movie courtesy of the open-air cinema!
