Home > Cottages > Mama La RoosaEscape to cube-shaped Mama La Roosa, a luxury two-bedroomed villa in the picturesque village of Agia Pelagia in Crete. With its contemporary whitewashed walls and natural-coloured furnishings, this villa oozes modern style. The spectacular setting also does the wooing – it’s in a breathtaking spot overlooking the azure Aegean Sea and surrounding tree-lined mountains. Think nature, comfort and tranquillity all rolled into one. The result? A truly unforgettable holiday experience.
Perhaps the main stand out feature is the private swimming pool terrace. There, the beautifully landscaped grounds are dotted with tall trees and are enclosed with rustic stone walls for complete privacy. When you’re not sun basking on one of the cushioned loungers or curling up with a book on the soft grass, enjoy an afternoon siesta on the chic swimming hammock. Then, cool off in the crystal-clear waters and take in the magical views of rolling hills spilling down the sea. Extra touches like a jute pouffe and rug, comfy bean bag chairs and lush fauna, complete the serene setting.
Inside, the opulence continues with a spacious open-plan living and dining room with direct access to the terrace and homely furnishings like plants and accent chairs. The room is split across a couple of levels, with a large dining table on the upper. There’s also a fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities you’ll need for a home-from-home cooking experience. To add an extra feeling of light and space, there are floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors and windows. With two en-suite master bedrooms featuring king size beds and fantastic sea views, bedtime is also a treat at Mama La Roosa villa.
You’ll find this villa between the charming Cretan villages of Agia Pelagia and Lygaria, a peaceful area near to friendly tavernas and soft sandy beaches. Want to explore further? It’s a 15km drive to Heraklion, the capital of the island. There you can browse souvenirs in the shops, dine at one of the bustling cafes or get your culture fix at the exciting historical sites and buildings.
