Home > Cottages > Villa ArdwickYou could almost be mistaken for thinking that Villa Ardwick was modelled around a lavish mansion from Sunset Boulevard. Its plush grounds encapsulate the original rococo style, whilst offering a modern touch to a Beverly Hills lookalike gated villa. Located in the epicentre of Quinta do Lago and less than a ten-minute walk from Ancao Beach, you are not only ideally situated in the luxury resort, but you have a villa that boasts an opulent status.
The front drive of the villa can host several cars and an alcove, with trellis parking, offers protection from the sun so you won’t have to get into a stifling car. When first entering the five-bedroom villa, you will immediately notice a contemporary layout that has a careful balance of luxuriousness and elegance. The living spaces main feature is perhaps the built-in wood burning fireplace, which is not only a spectacle, but will keep you and your guest’s warmer during those winter months. A large flat screen television occupies the other portion of the living area and has an integrated sound system which can be operated from each bedroom, in order to select a preference in radio stations. The large glass panelled windows, on the rear of the villa, allow all rooms to be saturated with natural sunlight.
Take a trip up the winding stairs to find a double en-suite bedroom and two en-suite bedrooms with two single beds in each. One of the en-suite bathrooms has a bath tub and another has a shower with a built-in seat, if needed.
A descent downstairs will take you to a corridor, down which you will find two en-suite bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. Passed the bedrooms is a dining area, which seats eight and a kitchen entirely fitted out with all the essential appliances for those wishing to cook up a storm. There is immediate passage from here to the barbecue and swimming pool. It is perhaps here that you will view the star of the show, the villa’s lush and amply sized grounds.
Entering the vibrant and well-maintained garden, you are greeted by a waterfall feature. This provides the gentle sound of flowing water that creates a peaceful atmosphere throughout the day and night. The large overflow swimming pool, is encircled with decking and seating. One of the corners of the pool accommodates a Jacuzzi, which is of real benefit during those late-night get-togethers that encroach onto the early hours of the morning. There is a dining space and seating area, protected by pergolas, which both overlook this stunning garden.
