Halkidiki
Home > Cottages > Villa MetaxaFor beach-side bliss, ten-bedroomed Villa Metaxa on Diaporos Island, Greece, is your go to. The luxurious Halkidiki villa is a stone’s throw from the glistening Mediterranean sea and is between two private natural coves for true tranquillity. Simply stroll across your swimming pool terrace and landscaped grounds and you’ll be on the sandy shore. Palm trees add a tropical vibe, while clean lines, open-plan spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows, let those beautiful natural views do the talking.
The villa boasts a modern geometrical form and contemporary cool décor, while classic Greek touches come in the form of whitewashed walls and charming wooden furniture. Perfect for families, groups of friends or even wedding guests, Villa Metaxa, can comfortably sleep up to twenty guests across its ten spacious bedrooms, and there’s plenty of places for everyone to sit and relax in the sun or the shade. When you’re not cooling off in the private infinity pool, laze on one of the cushioned loungers or spread out on the lush green grass. Or, head to the beach. The choice is yours.
With an external professional kitchen similar to those found in restaurants, including an Espresso coffee machine and wine cooler, as well as dining room, outdoor alfresco table, barbeque and fully-equipped bar area, meal times and evenings in are a treat at this villa. There’s also a comfortable living room for unwinding in after an action-packed day of exploring and gym equipment so you can keep up with your fitness. Bedrooms are all equally ‘luxe’ with king or queen-size beds and superior quality linen and bathrooms with multi-jet showers. Handy extra features like soft towels, dressing gowns and slippers ensure a spa-like feel.
Diaporos Island itself is renowned for its beautiful natural scenery and water activities. It’s dotted with smaller islands and bays just waiting to be explored, and because of its sheltered, calm and crystal-clear waters is the perfect place to go swimming and snorkelling. For exploring more of this excellent part of Greece, the island is a short boat ride from mainland Halkidiki.
