Menorca’s airport is located just outside the capital, Mahón, a charming small town known for its pretty harbour and countless pavement cafés. On the island’s western coast, Ciutadella de Menorca is another town worth a visit, with its medieval streets, imposing palaces and Baroque cathedral lending a historical dimension to this beautiful port.

Besides its main towns, Menorca has plenty of natural wonders to explore. One you may like to see for yourself is the island’s highest peak, El Toro. Make the 354m ascent, and you will find a church and a statue of the Virgin Mary surveying the scene (and there’s a café up there too).
