Ibiza is cool, trendy, stunning, and its diversity is a great attraction. The island attracts the cream of the world’s DJ’s, its wild nightlife is renowned, but it also oozes a relaxed Bohemian vibe, boasts spectacular scenic views, is dotted with attractive, hidden hamlets and hushed churches and is surrounded with gorgeous beaches. The island also boasts an enviable dining scene.
The village of Jesus is a welcoming hub with a great selection of shops, cafes and bars. Bon Lloc Bar is one of the oldest restaurants on the island and is the perfect spot for a tasty plate of tapas or their lip-smacking spit-roasted chicken. Close to Jesus is the secluded S’Estanyol beach, a narrow arc of golden sand shaded by fragrant pine trees and perfected with warm crystal-clear water.
By day, Ibiza Town is popular for boutique shopping, boating, historical sightseeing and beach bar hopping. By night, it is all about alfresco wining and dining and partying into the early hours. The world-famous Pacha nightclub is home to some of the best DJ’s. Fashionable bars and world-class, fine-dining restaurants can be found in the pretty Old Town and the glamorous and trendy Marina Botafoch. The World Heritage-listed Dalt Vila is atmospheric with centuries-old mansions, steep, cobbled streets, jasmine draped balconies and a majestic Gothic cathedral.
Ibiza’s holistic spa and relaxation scene are also renowned. There some fabulous spas, some in Ibiza Town itself and others set high on cliffs with mesmeric views. The spas offer every treatment imaginable and fantastic yoga, pilates and meditation courses. Some of the best spas include Pure Seven at Cala Conta, Hacienda Na Xamena at Puerto de San Miguel, Aguas de Ibiza at Santa Eulalia, Ibiza Gran Hotel in Ibiza Town, Insoltel Fenicia Prestige at Santa Eulalia and Atzaro at San Lorenzo.
The fabulous Parc Natural de Ses Salines is a brilliant excursion. The salt production carried out for hundreds of years has formed a spectacular landscape, a wetland where hundreds of brilliant pink flamingoes arrive between August and October to spend the winter on the island and plenty of other birds nest. You will see little ringed plovers, black-winged stilts, herons, ospreys and Peregrin falcons. The beaches are absolutely stunning and so peaceful.
