The marvellous village of San Jordi is only five minutes away. The village runs a flea market every Saturday from eight in the morning to three in the afternoon selling everything from clothing, jewellery, ornaments and unique souvenirs.
Popular with locals, the market is great for discovering something truly original, beautiful and useful. Located in the Hippodrome of San Jordi, the interesting market has been running ever since 1995 and also holds an indoor bar where you can cool down with refreshing beverages and aperitifs.
Restaurante Ascua is one of the many local restaurants nearby the home and is only a 15-minute drive away. The venue serves Mediterranean, European and Spanish dishes in the small town of Jesus. ‘Ascua,’ the name of the restaurant is a reference to the embers of the wood oven and grill where some of the most tantalising dishes on the menu are created.
Depending on what time of year you visit Ascua, the menu changes and adapts according to the current climate. However, it’s always great coming here for tapas and a fine wine selected from the extensive wine list.
Finding a table on the terrace is ideal for romantic meals for two or if you want to eat with a view. The pretty village of Jesus always has something for you to admire while you devour your tasty meal – no wonder this spot is a hub for locals!
