As Villa Chaya is surrounded by lush countryside and mountains, getting out and exploring it couldn’t be easier. You can enjoy picturesque walks straight from the doorstep, with acres of pathways available. There’s even the chance to go horse riding in certain areas, with guided tours being widely available.
You’ll need to head out to the town of Pollensa for stocking up on groceries and other essentials, with it being around a 20-minute drive from the villa. Pollensa had a history dating back many centuries and was initially founded during the 13th century.
Slightly more modern yet oozing culture and charm is the 18th-century old town area. Here you’ll find plenty of winding streets lined with historical buildings. Of the main attractions is Puig de Pollenca, a tremendous medieval chapel and watchtower at the top of a hill.
It’s quite a steep walk, so make sure you’re wearing some sturdy footwear! The walk is more than worth it though, as you’re rewarded with stunning views over the town and surrounding area.
Around a 15-minute drive from the villa are Puerto Pollensa and its bay. It’s an excellent place for a family day out by the sea as there are many stretches of golden sand and calm waters for swimming and snorkelling.
Available for hire at many of the beaches are sun loungers for ultimate relaxation or dinghies for getting out on the water. Several beaches are backed by beautiful palm trees with lots of nearby cafés and restaurants to choose from when lunchtime comes around.
