Sant Antoni de Portmany is a great place to stay for its lively atmosphere, electric nightlife and one of the widest varieties of fun things to do on land and on water. And it is home to those world-famous Ibiza sunsets! The Sunset Strip is the ideal place to enjoy a cocktail, listen to all the latest summer sounds and then watch the sun slowly sink below the horizon in a blaze of vivid oranges, reds and pinks.
A marvellous view across Sant Antoni Bay can also be had from the long strip of sandy beach, where a mainly younger crowd meets. Late afternoon they move onto the many bars that line the seafront promenade to get into the mood for those long Ibiza nights. You can also visit beautiful beaches nearby like Cala Bassa and Cala Conta, by taking one of the small ferries that run all day from the marina.
Fun on the water is a big thing in Sant Antoni. You can try one of the many boat excursions, party on the sea with a boat party or get into activities like jet skiing, parasailing and much, much more. And later on, enjoy Sant Antoni 's legendary nightlife, with super clubs Es Paradis and Eden, beach club O Beach Ibiza, pool party venue Ibiza Rocks Hotel, many smaller cool venues and the bars of the famous West End.
In addition to water sports, Sant Antoni offers the possibility of getting to know the spectacular natural surroundings by taking a number of routes, such as those included in the Falcon Routes. The viewing point of Ca´n Bernadet, with gorgeous views of the bay, is an excellent goal. The razor-sharp cliffs of Cap Nunó plunge to the sea near Salada Cove, a traditional fishing spot.
A relaxing day at the beach can end with a fabulous, lively night at any of the numerous leisure establishments. Lining the streets of the city centre, the promenade and the bay, numerous restaurants, terraces, bars and nightclubs await. Some of the most fashionable bars are located on the shore, like the famous “Café del Mar” ("Sea Café"), a place where one can see the gorgeous sunsets in the whole island.
In addition to a wide repertoire of international cuisine, Sant Antoni de Portmany prepares one delicious dish: Ensalada pagesa (country salad). It consists of potato slices with onion, roasted red peppers and aubergine. Among the fish, the baked grouper is excellent, as for dessert, "flaó", a cheesecake with egg and mint. All these dishes go very well with some wine with the label Designation of Origin - Binissalem-Mallorca.
