location

A real-life tropical paradise, Barbados is a gem on the Caribbean, notable for its picturesque shores and beaches, gorgeous climate, an abundance of natural beauty and more activities and excursions than you can imagine. Traverse its terrain in under an hour by car and experience the wealth of mellow and thrilling opportunities and an array of festive foods, all under the constant and warming sunshine!

Set to the west of the island, Holetown in the Saint James Parish sits by the sea and is blessed with seafood galore, scents, sounds and winds from the waters, as well as miles of coasts to explore against a backdrop of lush rainforests. Villa Keneil has been built up high on a ridge, so you can soak in sweeping views of the coastal town and are afforded privacy and peace when you retreat home. Its location enables you to easily access the towns and the beaches, giving you the best of both worlds!

You can talk a walk through the town or drive under five minutes to Paynes Bay Beach. One of the best spots for swimming, you will be enticed to splash in the warm, turquoise, crystal-clear waters as the sun sizzles your body. If you love the heat, then enjoy basking on beach chairs, whilst you enjoy snacks and drinks purchased from bars, cafes and shops next to the shores. You can indulge in things to do on the water and test your skills with water-sports or have a mellow voyage on the sea. To the south, guests will see the popular fish market, where you can purchase special and freshly-caught seafood to whip up at home!

The enriching waters of the Caribbean Sea help prized and exotic fish and marine life flourish alongside spectacular fruits and vegetables so its no wonder Barbados is home to some of the tastiest dishes. Whilst here, grab yourself a signature Roti, an Indian inspired dish with succulent meat and vegetables in a bread-wrap, or some cou-cou and flying fish! Make sure you try a rum-based cocktail or beverage, as it is world-famously made here. Step back into time, combining history with the finest rum recipes to taste, on tours of distilleries. Visit Mount Gay's distillery in Bridgetown and enjoy a day of fun-facts, delicious food and snacks, a tour of the three-hundred and fifty-year-old production site and a range of rum varieties, from smooth to fiery!
