Home > Cottages > Villa RapolanoVilla Rapolano overlooks a wide sea of clay that spreads out over the countryside of Montepulciano, as one soft hill follows another in this stunning medieval town, in Tuscany. Forest spaces and endless stretches of wheat fields change their colours with the succession of the seasons, making this an all year-round spectacle.
This isolated holiday home sleeps up to twelve guests. Villa Rapolano has retained many of its original features, such as a furnace and a constant traditional theme flows throughout. The villa is split into two levels and therefore provides obvious division between the living areas and the bedrooms.
Each room has had its original wooden beam ceilings, exposed brick walls and terracotta flooring refurbished and brought back to life. The large living area’s main feature is the long dining table, which comfortably seats fourteen. Behind here is a well-equipped kitchen, with a gas oven & hobs and ample storage space for fresh produce. The lounge area has two large double sofas, facing an original fireplace; making it ideal for a late-night drink after the temperature in the hills has dropped. Finally, a study is tucked away on the ground floor. Here you will find a desk and office chair, just in case anyone needs to catch up on some last-minute work. This room has a futon and access to the garden area.
On the first floor, the five double bedrooms and single bedroom can be found. These bedrooms are all furnished with customary wardrobes and chests of drawers. Three communal bathrooms are found within the villa, all with either showering facilities or bath tubs.
The garden pays tribute to the stunning natural scenery, as the owners have carefully maintained the villas grounds. Here you will find a cast iron dining table that receives shelter from a veranda, which embraces the growth of vines that slowly creep up it its columns. A minute from here is private swimming pool, which seems very detached from the villa as looming Italian Cypress trees create a wall of green. The large swimming pool is surrounded by a flagstone deck and sun loungers are scattered around its lush lawn.
Located a few kilometres from Rapolano Terme, near Siena, Villa Rapolano is surrounded by six hectares of land and gardens containing olive trees, fruit trees and medicinal and culinary herbs. The natural surroundings will help sooth your soul. Villa Rapolano is somewhere relaxation comes easily!
