Sant Jordi is located towards the south of the island, close to the airport and a short drive from Ibiza Town. Though it may not have as much as other parts of Ibiza, it still offers fantastic opportunities for all. There is an impressive fortified church here, the best preserved of the collection remaining on the island.
There is a square near the church where you’ll find fantastic restaurants and bars on or near it. Es Tanco is one of those restaurants, known for its delicious pizza and fantastic selection!
You can enjoy these on the terrace of the restaurant, or even as a takeaway! There are more traditional restaurants offering tapas, or perhaps you enjoy a drink with your food in which case Vinyl is a great choice for burgers and a cocktail!
You’ll find supermarkets as well as shopping opportunities nearby, whether in Sant Jordi or on the road to Ibiza Town in Can Bellotera. You’ll find bakeries and fishmongers among the stores available here!
There will also be a store that sells locally produced fruit and vegetables from the nearby villagers, so it truly is a wonderful place to sample the local food. If you enjoy shopping then you can head to Mercadillo Sant Jordi, a hippodrome famous for its weekly flea market. You will all find something here!
Sant Jordi is a beautiful village, but that’s not all on offer. With a car, you can explore further afield, and head into Ibiza Town. If you’re here for something other than the typical party holiday or beach holiday, then you’re in luck because Ibiza is also rich in history, and much like the villa, every small town you visit will also have its own unique charms and character leaving plenty to be explored.
Ibiza town is one of the oldest in Europe and is a world heritage site; it is rich in its history as its many previous occupants have left their mark on the town. You’ll find that wherever you go there will be spectacular food waiting for you, through restaurants and cafés.
