Puerto de la Cruz is a wonderful day out. It boasts a beautiful harbour and the magnificent Jardin Botanico, established in 1788. The botanical garden has thousands of plants from all over the world, including roses, tropical and subtropical plants, palms, herbs and a giant 200-year-old Australian Moreton Bay fig.
